Many people struggle to reduce belly fat. This kind of fat is pretty obvious to the Seeing Eye and can be an embarrassment to many.
-I remember when I had it; I couldn't take off my shirt in front of others, out of the fear of being picked on and laughed at.
But when I started running, I was able to get rid of it in a relatively fast time frame.
-Still, many runners complain about belly fat and doubt if running can help them get flat stomach.
If you're wondering if running can slash the belly fat, the answer is yes.
Running is effective in burning fat because it's a core body workout par excellence. When you are running, you are using most of the muscles in your body; especially the abs.
In fact, running is actually an abs work-out in disguise.
Running does reduce belly fat, but not in a focused manner. In fact when you are running, you are losing fat from all over your body, especially from the thighs and the butt. Therefore, don't narrow your intention to just getting a flat stomach; no training regime can do that.
-Instead, you should expand your vision and look at the big picture.
And over time, you will get a flat belly with a bunch of other benefits.
If you want to speed up the fat burning process and get a flat stomach fast, you should do some interval training. Most people don't do the right thing, and they wonder why they aren't getting what they want.
-They believe sticking to the same pace for 30 minutes is quite enough. I do agree, this type of steady pace running is better than no running.
Doing interval training regularly creates an after burn effect, this boosts your metabolism rate and helps you burn calories ... even when sleeping.
-Interval running also builds muscles and intensity;
The more intense you run, the more calories you burn, not just fat, but carbohydrates and protein alike.
Of course, you have to back up your training program with a healthy and nutritious diet. Relying solely on running will not yield the outcome you want to achieve.
-Therefore, you should reduce your caloric intake, drink less alcohol
(no wonder they call it beer belly) and eliminate simple carbohydrates from your diet, such as sugar, coke, candy ...
Creating a daily healthy calories deficit - it's the surest way to permanently lose fat. Otherwise, you will only see the scale readings increase as your belly size gets bigger and bigger.
