My answer for James the ref
by: Roberta

Hi James,
I am not a trainer but as a rough estimate, I'd suggest dividing the 12 minutes by the 6 1/2 laps. This would give you 1.8 minutes for each 400 meters.

Depending on what works best for you, you could run a little faster as you progress, or start out faster. Again, it depends on your personal style and what works best for you.

Hope it helps, good luck!

Roberta J

Fitness test
by: James the ref.

Hi, I'm a referee and have a fitness test soon, it's 2600 meters in 12 minutes. If there's anyone here that has done it, what pace am I looking at and what time for the 400 meters? It's 6 and a half laps of the 400 meter running track.

Thanks, James

Doesn't anybody go slow?
by: Anonymous

2500 meters at 42, that is really exceptional! It is great to hear that everybody is in such fine shape, no one goes slow. I guess you don't want to say if you do bad, just my 2 cents.
