I lost this link and have just found it again
Yes I did run as stated
Now I am 82 and slower
Now one mile in 12 minutes
Nothing compared to Ed. Whitlock who is 84,and
did a 2:55 marathon when 70 and 3:15 when 80 years of age.
Put him in Google and see how he runs so fast

A great time for your age. But I think your goal of 2,400 (an improvement of over 20%) is far too ambitious, you should aim at keeping the great shape that you already have.

I'm 53, doing 2270 and hoping to improve by 6% to reach 2400 which I consider more realistic.

Yeah right

Hey John,

Sorry, but I don't buy it.

I hope I'm wrong but I have a hard time believing you ran it in that time. That time is typical for a man in his 40's.

Are you sure you got the distance and time accurate?

I'll definitely give you 5 stars if it's true, what the heck, I'll give you 10 stars!

If it is true, please tell me your fitness regimen cause I'm changing mine over!

Wow !

What else is there to say? I hope I'm still walking good when I reach your age, you must be a lifetime runner.

It just shows how good it is to be active and fitness conscious your whole life through.

Keep up the good work, and good luck with your goal, I have no doubt that you'll reach it!
