-Does Running Reduce Belly Fat?

Many people struggle to reduce belly fat. This kind of fat is pretty obvious to the Seeing Eye and can be an embarrassment to many.

-I remember when I had it; I couldn't take off my shirt in front of others, out of the fear of being picked on and laughed at.

But when I took up running, I was able to get rid off it in a relatively fast timeframe.

-Still, many runners complain about belly fat and doubt if running can help them to get a flat stomach.

If you are wondering if running can slash the belly fat, the answer is yes.

Running is effective in burning fat because it's a core body workout par excellence. When you are running, you are using most of the muscles in your body; especially the abs.

In fact, running is actually an abs work-out in disguise.

The more intense you run, the more calories you burn, not just fat, but carbohydrates and protein alike.

Of course, you have to back up your training program with a healthy and nutritious diet. Relying solely on running won't yield the outcome you want to achieve.

-Therefore, you should reduce your caloric intake, drink less alcohol
(no wonder they call it beer belly) and eliminate simple carbohydrates from your diet, such as sugar, coke, candy...

Creating a daily healthy calories deficit - is the surest way to permanent fat loss. Otherwise, you will only see the scale increases and your belly size gets bigger and bigger.
