It works for me
by: Anonymous

I agree with you Lesley Ann, it sounded silly to me as well but I gave it a chance and it worked wonders for my legs too.

I even lost 5 pounds the first week!

I only wish I'd heard of this before, it's much more convenient than suiting up for a jog and finding a sitter.

Now if I can just shut my husband up, he works nights and tries to sleep in the day. (when there's not too much noise or jumping going on)

Sorry honey, but I know you appreciate me in my best shape.

Sounded Dumb to me
by: Lesley Ann

Jessica,
I have to admit, when I read your tip I thought it was the stupidest thing I ever heard.

I'm a rope jumper myself, it's one of the best calorie burners there is, and it uses all your body's muscles giving you a great workout.(and great legs) It just sounded dumb to me, like running in place instead of jogging.

But I gave it a try, and to my surprise, it's nearly the same as with a jump rope, and a lot less to worry about in the house. (knocking over stuff)

I'm not sure if it would be as good for someone who is not already a jumper, as they don't know the technique, but still worth a try.

I would suggest a newbie to jump with a real rope first, then switch to the "fake rope"
Thanks,
Lesley Ann
